This Halloween Party Invitation tutor page features the Pumpkin Invitation.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1.
As shown here, the Halloween Pumpkin Invitation has been printed on bright orange computer paper (Wausau Paper, Astrobrights, Item 22289, purchased at Office Depot). However, you can print this invitation on plain white computer paper, or even card stock.
You'll need:
  • The printed Halloween Party Invitation
  • Black construction paper (optional)
  • scissors, glue stick
  • hole punch (not pictured here, see Step 5)
  • curl ribbon (orange or black)
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 2.

This Halloween Pumpkin Invitation has been personalized using Microsoft Paint. For the illustrated tutorial for how to personalize an invitation using Microsoft Word or Microsoft Paint, go to Mom's Break FAQs.

After you have personalized the invitation (using Paint or Word, or filling everything in by hand), cut out the Front and the Inside of the invitation.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 3.
To mount the card on black construction paper, turn over the Inside of the invitation (that is, put the Inside of the invitation printed side down).
Rub the glue stick on the back of the invitation, and then glue down to the construction paper.
Skip to Step 5 to bypass the construction paper mounting.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 4.

Cut out the shape, leaving about a 1/4" border of black showing around the edges of the invitation.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 5.
Align the Front of the invitation on top of the Inside of the invitation (allowing the construction paper border to show, as seen to the left).
Punch holes as marked on the Front of the invitation. If you do not have a hole punch, then use scissors to create the two holes. You might want to do this if you are doing this craft with younger children.
Cut two lengths of curl ribbon (yarn or string). Push one end of the curl ribbon through one of the holes, tie, and then curl the ends using the flat blade of the scissors. (See picture of invitation in Step 6.)
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 6.

Print the free printable envelope on orange computer paper (or use plain white computer paper, as preferred).

You can download the free printable envelope, as well as review an illustrated tutorial for folding and gluing. See below (after the end of this tutor).

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 7.
You can now mail your Halloween Party Invitations, or hand them out at school, work, or social group.
This free printable envelope has been "mail-tested" (see link to the illustrated instructions for folding and gluing the envelope for more information).
This completes the Halloween Party Invitation tutorial.
