[This tutorial takes the place of Halloween Gift Bag (which is a Word document, and opens in a separate window). This Word document contains no advertisements and you may want to print it if you are using this craft in a school class, church group, scouts, or other children's day care facilities.]

Step 1.

Assemble various Halloween gift bag items. Seen here are Halloween gift bags, individually wrapped candies, Halloween votive candles, a small ceramic Jack-O-Lantern mug, and printed gift tags (see the accompanying article for the link to these free printable gift tags).

Everything you see here was purchased at Walgreens, using coupons printed in their Sunday advertising brochure.

Step 2.

Pick out a few things to put into the gift bag.

Step 3.

Stuff the gift bag, fold over the edge, and then staple on the gift card.

Make as many gift bags as you need! If you need a large number of gift bags (such as for your son or daughter's classmates), then simply put a few individually wrapped candies in each bag.

Shop smart! Stock up on gift bags and other novelties using after-Halloween coupons and sales. Store until next year. (If you purchase candles or anything wax-based, be sure to store in a cool, dry place!)

This completes the Halloween Gift Bag. See below for more Jan's Reading Room Halloween!
