Easy Free Content offers both free printables and free text (article) content for you to use on your website. Through a simple process of copying code or content and pasting it into your web page (using web page editing software such as Microsoft FrontPage), you can add the content you need to increase traffic to your website.

This tutorial will help you to use Easy Free Content in your web page. The illustrations will guide you through copying either the code for the free printables or the text of free content articles and inserting it into your web page. As shown below, the web page software used is Microsoft FrontPage. However, the process should be similar for any web page editing software you are using.

Using Free Printables Web Content

Easy Free Content offers a variety of free content (free printables that website visitors can download and free content articles) that you can use on your website.

Using the easy-to-follow illustrated instructions below, even the novice webmaster can use Easy Free Content printables are articles as website content.

For the complete listing of Easy Free Content available, click on the "All Free Content Directory" key in the upper right-hand corner of the Easy Free Content web page (as illustrated at left).

The index of available free content printables is listed in the "Give Away Printables" section.

Below are the step-by-step illustrated instructions for using the simple "Copy and Paste" procedure for using the Easy Free Content on your website!

For this portion of the tutorial, the Free Printable Harry Potter Wizard Theme Owl Invitation will be used as the example. The procedure will be the same for any of the Easy Free Content Free Printables that you want to use for your website.

As shown in the screen shot to the left, the box that contains the codes that you need to copy for the Free Printable appears under the instruction that reads: Copy and paste this JavaScript code to your web page codes.

Note: The code will be similar for the other Free Printable content selections.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 1. Copy the Code
Position the cursor at the beginning of the code that appears in the box. Hold down the mouse button and drag to highlight the entire string of code.
This is the string of code that you will copy:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://free-content-printable.easyfreecontent.com/Wizard_Content.js"></script><br><center><font size="2" face="Palatino Linotype">By <a href="http://www.momsbreak.com/">Moms Break</a> Free Printables and <a href="http://www.easyfreecontent.com">Easy Free Content</a></font></center>
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 2.

Copy this code in one of two ways:

1. After the code is highlighted, click on Edit on the toolbar and click on Copy. (This method is shown in the screen shot to the left.)

---or---

2. After the code is highlighted, use Ctrl+C to copy.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 3.
Go to your web page editing software, and open the web page that you are going to put the Free Printable into.
In  the "Design" view, find the place on the page where the Free Printable is going to be inserted, and click to position the cursor there.
Note: This instruction pertains to Microsoft FrontPage. You may have to modify this step for your web page editing software.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 4.

Note: This instruction pertains to Microsoft FrontPage. You may have to modify this step for your web page editing software.

Switch to the "Code" view (you will be able to see the html coding rather than just the text of your web page).

The cursor will be in the code, in the position where you want the Free Printable to appear.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 5.
Paste in the code. You can do this one of two ways:
1. Click on Edit on the toolbar, and click on Paste.
---or---
2. Paste in the code using Ctrl+V.
In the screen shot to left, the string of code for the Free Printable Harry Potter Owl Invitation has been pasted in.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 6.

When you switch back to the Design (or text) view, you will not see the free printbable. This is because you have only pasted in code. Once you upload your page to your server, the graphic will appear (see the illustration in Step 7).

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 7.
Save your web page and upload it to your website.
When you open up your web page, the Free Printable Harry Potter Owl Invitation Free Printable will appear.
The illustration at left is the Sample Web Page created, with the code for the free printable inserted.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Step 8.

The links included in the Free Printable box will automatically work. To download the Harry Potter Owl Invitation, click on the "Download This Snow Owl Invitation Free!" link. The "File Download" pop-up window will appear (as shown at left).

All visitors to your website will now be able to download the free printable invitation and free envelope. (Help is available in the free printable box for those who have never downloaded a zip (compressed) folder.) See below for sample picture of the Snow Owl invitation.

Follow this procedure for any/all of the Easy Free Content Free Printables that you want to use for your web page.
