Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to let a special senior know that you care!

Using these Valentine bags available at Mom's Break Valentines, you can put together a Valentine gift bag that is just right for a senior citizen.

Shown here are:

  • White gift bag
  • Tissue paper, curl ribbon, glue stick, hole punch
  • Valentine note cards
  • Valentine bags
  • Small gift items such as mug and tea bags, bookmark, scented candle

If you are looking for a nice, but inexpensive gift, don't be bashful about roaming around your local "dollar store" (or other "discount" stores). You don't have to spend a fortune---just put it in a gift bag and add some colorful tissue and curl ribbon!

To download and print the Valentine Note Cards (printed on blank business cards), go to:

Put a Valentine in a Lunch Bag or Briefcase!

Fill the Valentine bag with small gift items that will be meaningful to your senior.

These bags also make the perfect gift card holders! Shown here is a gift card to Borders, with a bookmark included, and a gift card to Red Lobster.

As an example of a nice Valentine gift for a special senior, select several types of tea (individually wrapped teabags are best, as shown here), select a nice mug (shown here stuffed with red and pink tissue paper).

I found this nice heavyweight glass mug at a "dollar store" and enclosed several of my favorite types of tea.

Put the gift(s) into a gift bag, with two or more sheets of tissue paper. Use a hole punch to put a hole in a Valentine Note Card, and tie it onto the handle of the gift bag---just be sure to fill out the card before you tie it on the bag!

I like to keep plain colored gift bags (white and brown kraft paper bags are easy to "decorate" with any color of tissue paper and gift cards), tissue paper (lots of colors!), and curl ribbon on hand. Use these to dress up any gift, for anyone, on any occasion!
