Wedding Shower
Gift Bags A wedding (or bridal) shower is a wonderful time for the bride-to-be to thank all her guests by offering them a small gift (in return for the lovely gifts she received from them!). Using a free printable gift bag available from The Craft Cafe, you can put together the gift, the gift bag, and a gift tag for very little money---and watch all the delighted smiles from the ladies who have attended your shower! This article will provide the links to the free printable gift bag, suggested items to use as gifts, and illustrated instructions for putting together the gift bag. For the instructions, go to: http://readingroom.janktheproofer.com/showergiftbag.doc These instructions contain several pictures, so it might take several (long) seconds for the page to open. Once the page does open, then allow a few extra second for all the pictures to appear. You’ll need:
You can use any small item as a gift. Pictured is a "Spa Facial Mask" purchased at Target for less than $1.00. Other suggested items might include a few scented sachets for the closet or lingerie drawer, scented tealights, items like pocket mirrors or anything that a lady might find useful to carry in her handbag (or briefcase!). Following the lines marked on the free printable gift bag, fold the bag in half, but do note that you don't fold it exactly in half, a small flap will be left over to close the bag. Then fold the sides inward. Run a glue stick along the folded side edges, and press together to form the bag, leaving the top flap open. Fill the bag with a small gift item or a few candies. You can personalize the gift by including a gift tag (see link below for the free printable gift tags that match the bag). Glue flap down, if desired. Giving a small gift---for any reason, at any time---is always a thoughtful thing to do. The gift inside doesn't have to be much or cost a lot...it truly is the thought that counts!
