Here's an idea for a simple Valentine's Day craft that is easy enough for really young kids. It will make a Valentine's Day card that any Mom or Dad would love to get...or even Grandma! It is a craft that kids can do by themselves, without much supervision.

This craft uses free clipart available at Mom's Break Valentines, and you'll need a piece of construction paper as well.

Go to Mom's Break, and download and then print the Valentine cards and the wrapping paper of your choice. Don't let "wrapping paper" fool you---you can easily use these pages for a number of other crafts...just put on your thinking cap!

Get the clipart at:

Cut out the card you want to use, and then trim the wrapping paper along the dotted lines on the printed pages.

Be sure to have kid-friendly scissors available for the younger kids.

Using a glue stick, glue the wrapping paper onto a piece of construction paper. Leave a border around the wrapping paper so that kids can decorate it with stickers, glitter, or by drawing pictures.

Shown here is the Elmer's glue stick that "goes on purple and dries clear." It holds almost instantly and doesn't make a mess! It's completely washable, so there's no need to worry if your kids get some on their fingers or clothes.

Glue the card into the middle of the wrapping paper, and be sure to fill in the To and From.

Kids can decorated the border of construction paper with stickers, glitter, or simply by drawing on or coloring the edges.
